The book that I read was Spider Wick, and the author is Tony Diterlizzi. It is about three kids who are in a land where there are goblins and monsters. But at first the three kids find this eye thing that clips onto your nose and lets you see thing that humans can not see. They are not to trust the goblins, who eat other creatures which is pretty gross. There was a sword put in the mud by an awful creature, but he could not get it out because of what the monster that is guarding it would do to them. The boy's sister got caught in a cage, as well as a goblin; he looked like a nice goblin so he let him out with his sister. And when they went outside there was a hurt goblin, so they put him in the barn and gave him water, and left him in the barn to get better. And near the end the nice goblin squeezed the girl's face and said, “You can not wear that stone!" And the girl had to agree.
This is a very good story and I think I am going to read the whole series. I would think that this book is good for people aged 8-11, and if I were to rate this book I would rate it 7 out of 10.
